Elmer is coming to Belfast in Summer 2022

Elmer’s Big Parade is coming soon to Belfast and across Northern Ireland, thanks to a collaboration between Northern Ireland Hospice, creative event producers Wild in Art and independent children’s books publisher Andersen Press.

Where? Belfast and Northern Ireland

From 20 June 2022, Elmer’s Big Belfast Trail will be celebrating the hospice’s 21 years of care since opening the Children’s Hospice at Horizon House and will see a herd of 30 uniquely designed and painted Elmers march around key landmarks, streets and open spaces of Belfast. They will be joined by a herd of ‘Young Elmers’, designed by local schools, for one unforgettable jumbo event.

Fear not if you don’t make it to Belfast! After 10 weeks, up to 4 September, the herd will then be travelling around Northern Ireland! Elmer will be visiting Ballymena, Derry/Londonderry, Newry and Enniskillen before coming back to Belfast for a final farewell event!

The Parade of beautifully designed Elmer sculptures will be available to buy in a glittering auction at the end of the project to raise significant funds for Northern Ireland Hospice. These funds will enable them to continue to provide outstanding care and support to local families when they need it most.
